Network performance test Synology

Objective

I needed a way to test my new provider connection quickly to assess the overall performance. Of course without some performance hit using WiFi

Prerequisites

My Synology connected using wired connection and SSH connectivity.

Speedtest sources

Source for this https://github.com/sivel/speedtest-cli

Setup

Connected with my user,

chmod +x speedtest-cli

After that, just launch ./speedtest-cli to start or ./speedtest-cli --list to list available servers.

Testing

After that, just watch the test run.
